Have you checked our on going collaboration with Ashley Le Quere!? Some of my personal favourite designs have come out of our collaboration. She's such a talented illustrator!

We asked her a few questions about her work and process. Check out our interview in full below..

Introduce yourself…

Hi, my name is Ashley Le Quere, i'm a Bristol based illustrator

Have you always been an illustrator and if not, how did you get into the career you have now?

I studied illustration at uni and have always either worked on my illustration. Straight out of uni i worked on my illustration along side various part time jobs, a few years down the line i started working as an in house designer/illustrator full time, to now being full time freelance!

Where are you located? What’s it like, and how does the city inspire you?

Im based in Bristol, this is such an inspiring, creative place to live! everywhere there is art, beautiful independent shops and i get most of my inspiration by just wondering around the city, taking a peek in the different shops and seeing all the street art that Bristol is known for!

What’s your creative process? What tools to do you use to create your images?

I always start with a pencil and sketch out my ideas, usually i just let the ideas flow and see when comes out. I then work into them with my brush pen, after that taking them into illustrator, re drawing my sketches digitally!

What & who are you mostly inspired by when creating work?

I do love a good Pinterest board, with just beautiful imagery on ... wether it's illustration, graphic design or beautiful homes and home wears, I find my inspiration all over the place and starting my day with a lot of inspiration from all over the place usually gets me into the headspace to get creative.

Do you WFH, or have a studio space?

I work from home... I used to work from my desk in the spare room but recently we've had to turn the spare room into a baby/working from home space for now :) Would love to eventually have a studio space! Hopefully soon!

What do you listen to when you make work?

I listen to loads of podcasts, a lot of true crime actually... my fave is Red Handed at the moment!

What is your dream collab?

Ohhhh thats a tough one! Would love to work with OhhDeer, love their products.. Gorman, an Austrian company, i love their prints and they just started designing children's clothing... I think that my dream at the moment is focused more around trying to work with more children's brands, probably inspired by being heavily pregnant and doing so much clothes shopping for the baby! :)
